does it require a UEFI boot mode for the cheat?

Good morning, I have tried to upgrade my windows 8 to 10, after I changed the UEFI mode to boot from external devices it stopped working. Now I cant even get back to Uefi settings to change them to default, as laptop says No operating system found. Can you please help?

Upgrading with the microsoft tool is usually not a guide idea because there is always something that breaks. 

Open your BIOS and disable the UEFI mode and also change that it boots from your hard drive (where windows is installed).
